Sweet Nothings Cake Shop

After unsuccessfully trying for weeks, to place an order with Sweet Red Peach in inglewood, CA for my daughters baby shower. I stumbled upon this lil gem 6 mins from my home. And I am soooo thankful I did. Isabel was so amazing and responsive no matter how many changes I made, lol!!! Not to mention, the cake and cupcakes were delish! I used to bake myself, so I am a bit picky. I will be placing all my orders here from now on without the many changes hehehe. And spreading the word. Grateful!!

I stopped by to buy some cupcakes for my work. The parking entrance is just before the Highland light if you are heading west on Huntington. There was a small parking lot in front and I had no issues with finding a spot.

The little cake shop is very cute with yummy desserts on display such as cupcakes, cake pops, and cookies. I love how they have a bunch of mini cupcake flavors as well since it allowed me to get more flavors without the price point of the regular dozen. My coworkers really enjoyed them! My favorite was the strawberry cheesecake cupcake. I wasn't a fan of the regular buttercream frosting, it had a bit of a funny aftertaste to me. However, the cream cheese frosting is good.

Service is friendly and the store is very clean. Would definitely come back to try more things out.

I had a terrible experience with this cake bakery. Despite reaching out less than 24 hours before my event to cancel the order, they failed to communicate or accommodate my request. The lack of responsiveness and customer service is extremely disappointing. I made an order five days ago via online form, but their lack of professionalism and failure to communicate less than a day before my event left me with no options. It's a complete letdown, and I won't be recommending them to anyone and I won't be returning.

Edit: The way to place an order is via an online form in which it states I shall receive a response within 24 hours. This was placed on Monday. I received an email today (11/24) before the event stating they will not be able fulfill the order due to it being a Holiday. Which is acceptable and I completely understand... What is not acceptable, is not receiving a response on 11/21, 11/22, or 11/23 stating it cannot be completed. Therefore giving a reasonable amount of time to make arrangements elsewhere. This review is in regard to the service, NOT THE FOOD. Im sure the food may be great. However, the service needs improvement.

I highly recommend Sweet nothings cake shop.!! I have used their services for several work events and birthday events. The treats and desserts that you get are delicious and fresh. What I like about the shop is that you can customize your treats. Your presentation, whether it's for a wedding or whether it's for employee appreciation, the shop listens and delivers great quality desserts that are customize to your needs. The service is wonderful. It is a small boutique. For me, it is worth the drive.

This place offers fantastic and well-crafted cupcakes. The flavors are very nice and not overpowering. The employee who assisted me was very friendly and answered all my questions regarding future inquiries. They are very accommodating for customized cakes for any event or occasion. The inside is beautiful and minimal, which is such a cute vibe.

staff is friendly, restaurant is clean, desserts are delicious, price is reasonable, will return.

I've been driving past this place for a while and I finally decided to stop in today. The last thing I expected them to have was banana pudding, but they had it and it's my favorite so of course I had to get a cup. Honestly I didn't expect it to be that great but I had to try it.... It was great! Now I don't have to drive to LA to get banana pudding because there's damn good banana pudding around the corner! I also got some mini cupcakes (really good, Oreo cheesecake was the best), walnut chocolate chip cookie ( really good and not too sweet) macarons (I didn't care for). None of it was too sweet which is the best part.

Found sweet Nothings Cake Shop when I was looking for a shop that would do cake toppers at a reasonable price. I got in touch with Isabel, she was very responsive and quick. Placed an order a month in advance and they were able to accommodate with my request. Came to pick up the topper and in amaze of how modern and nice the shop looked, it was very clean, well organized, simple and welcoming.

Also tried two of their mini cupcakes red velvet and cookies and cream ($2.50 each) they were delicious, not too sweet and the cream is well paired the cake itself was fluffy and airy.

Will definitely recommend and will be coming back to try the rest of the cupcakes flavors.

It's a 9/10 for me!

I have had their cupcakes two times and find nothing out of the ordinary special about them.

I appreciate the effort in this area, however, I would love to feel as if the cupcake shop was more original? The cakes taste like box cakes and the frostings are meh. I guess a lot of these shops use box cakes... is this the norm? If they aren't I would be very surprised...

The frosting to cake ratio is off for me too but that's a preference I guess... too much frosting and not enough cake. For the quality, these cupcakes are definitely overpriced.

Customer service was okay. Both times I've gone it was dead and we were the only customers and the person seemed rushed and like they wanted us to hurry up so they could go back to the store.

I hate to leave a low star review but I guess in this area people are okay with mediocre since there are no other real competitors around (I know there are a few but also felt the same about those shops).

It was an underwhelming experience overall. Would give lower stars but don't want to be attacked for my honest review but the people thinking this place is a 5 star. Go to Walmart or Ralph's to get cupcakes... save your money on these ones.

Oh yeah. Second day cupcakes in the fridge were so dry. First day fresh we're not as moist as I remembered from trying the first time.

My husband and I ordered a small wedding cake with them and honestly I couldn't be happier!!! The cake came out beautiful!!! Just like how we discussed and the photos I emailed her the cake is SPOT ON! I wish I took a better photo cause it just doesn't do it justice! I also had a cake tasting with them! ALL THE CAKES ARE DELICIOUS!!! They were also super generous with the cake tasting portions too! The lovely lady who I placed the order with made our experience super fun! Honestly I found my cake spot for all my party needs!!!
