Can't believe I never reviewed this place. There are very few harp stores around. This business is in a beautiful neighborhood. The staff are all knowledgeable and friendly. The lessons were good but it did not work with my schedule. I love that they answered all my questions patiently because I was a beginner.

I went through their rent to own program and was set on ordering a harp within a month of rental/beginner lessons. I forget the name of the young woman who helped me but she introduced me to the song Inisheer and was kind enough to play it on every harp multiple times until I figured which sound I preferred.

After waiting half a year for my harp to be made, they have been friendly and have helped me replace my stribgs as needed because I still lack confidence in replacing them. You must visit this gem but beware. You might be sucked into buying a harp as you listen to the harp in the small garden.

I was referred to Carolyn by another harpist who I had hired prior for a grave-site service.

I needed someone to perform the day of a memorial service for my friend's father. I cannot even begin to express my gratitude for Carolyn and her professionalism. She really made the entire day beautiful with her lovely music. Importantly, Carolyn was highly responsive and easy to work with.

I highly recommend Carolyn to anyone looking to hire talent for any sort of occasion. I can only imagine how perfect she would be for weddings, baby showers, and other occasions!

      Thank you, Carolyn!

I visited Pacific Harps because I wanted a light lever harp I can move around the hospital, and I generally play pedal.
Walking into Carolyn Syke's home/studio/harp store is like walking into a enchanted secret wonderland filled with Camacs and Lyon and Healy's, fountains, plants, artwork, books about harps and various religious traditions, guests of all ages popping in and out at all times planning music gatherings, and Aussie-accented repartee. How did I not know of this place when I lived in Pasadena? How can I make my future home kind of like this?? Can I fake an Aussie accent?

Anyway, Carolyn has a great selection to rent and buy, and I ended up renting a perfect travel harp: a 36 string Camac Kerrigan. Carolyn is so lovely, and we felt like long-standing friends by the time we were done schmoozing about our wonderful instrument. I will definitely be back, when I am looking to buy my lifetime pedal harp.

I had the pleasure of having Carolyn attend and play at my wedding this past weekend. She was absolutely kind and wonderfully talented. We were so fortunate to have her play at our wedding. She was prompt and all set-up before the ceremony started and she even played a little extra during cocktail hour. Best of all, we were able to book her on such short notice-less than 1 week before the event. The process from quote to finish went without a hitch. I would definitely book Carolyn again for a future event!

I am so happy to have found my dream harp. Diana was incredible when I walked in off the street practically and helped me with so much knowledge about every single harp in the showroom and took her time to help me and explained the pros and cons of every single harp. Phoebe the next day played some beautiful tunes to help me hear and decide to narrow the ulysses down to my favorite and made the best coffee in the world. and Carolyn our long phone call really helped me decide to buy that baby. This place is harp heaven people; schedule an appointment & go have a look.
