Free easy spacious parking lot.
Super professional hospitable staff.
I Was on the hunt for blackberry pie & lo & behold this lil gem close to home has them !
Very quaint & diner vibes interior.
I Also ordered clam chowder to go. It was delicious.
I didn't taste the pie cuz it was a gift for a special friend who had been going on & on about how much he loves boysenberry pie and since Knott's Berry Farm is the only place to get it. I decided to hunt for blackberry pie and trust me PLEASE!!
I am 100% certain when I say that fresh homemade blackberry pie is not readily available at least not in LA county !
I will most definitely return for the pot pie. It looks yummy and I will definitely recommend these kind of gems. Mom and pop quaint little eateries are becoming instinct and we need to preserve them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Dr David H.North Hollywood, Los Angeles, CA021Mar 28, 2024

Everything was just OK, nothing remarkable. We got the chicken pot pie, it tasted a bit worse than the frozen ones from Costco.

Best pot pies I've ever had! I'm typically not a fan of pot pies - I feel like they're hard to master - but theirs have won my heart (and stomach) and we'll definitely be back for more! They're family owned, the staff were so helpful and friendly, and their decor gives awesome retro diner vibes.
I actually came in looking for dessert pies to add to our Christmas feasts to take some of the cooking off my to-do list and figured we may as well try their savory choices too. I walked away with 2 beef pot pies, 1 chicken pot pie mixed white/dark meat, 1 chicken pot pie all white meat, a whole apple pie, and 2 slices of pumpkin pie.
Everything we tried was fantastic!! Their apple pie had a great flavor and was full of soft, delicious apple slices. Their pumpkin pie was lovely as well...sold by the slice which was perfect bc we don't love it enough to get a whole pie for just the two of us haha!
The beef and chicken pot pies are offered either already baked or you can take them home frozen and bake yourself which is what I ended up doing. The baking directions are included on the box and are very simple. I followed them to the letter and the pot pies came out perfectly!! I got a small side of gravy to put on top, but the pies were juicy enough already that we ended up not needing it at all.
The meats are tender and nicely bite-sized with soft veggies and the most delectable crusts! I was so impressed. My only small complaint is that I wanted way more meat in the beef pie but it was still my fave of the bunch.
Next time we'll dine in bc they have the best retro diner style decor - one of our fave restaurant genres and increasingly harder to find. Prices are reasonable and they have quite an extensive menu.
They're located in a large and chaotic shopping center, so bring your patience - but at least there's always plenty of parking. Highly recommend!!Helpful 47Thanks 11Love this 41Oh no 3 - Ralph M.Alhambra, CA0275Apr 17, 2024

Moffett's has quickly become one of my favorite diners in all of Los Angeles. Their menu is simple and their food is delicious. The Chicken Pie dinner comes with a salad, mashed potatoes, a side of peas, a heap of gravy covering the delicious chicken pie, and a choice of dessert... all for $20. The wait staff is friendly and extremely accommodating and the ambience has that classic diner feel and might even be the most comfortable restaurant I have ever sat in. Best of all, starting May 1st they will start serving breakfast at 7am. Not to mention, they have a great line of T-shirts and other merchandise. If I could give this restaurant 10 stars I would. Thank you Moffett's!

Home cooking at its best. This reminds me of what a Marie calendars restaurant would be if it were family owned.
We ate in and listened to the Alexa station of oldies which was kind of cool. Seems like a locals place for family dining. We liked it. We will go back again.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Feb 17, 2024
Got the chicken pot pie dinner with mixed meat. The ladies in the front were super nice and helpful. Interior is an old school classic vibe. Will try the beef one next and I heard the Tri tip sandwich was super good. Don't remember the last time I had a decent pot pie and this one was delicious. Definitely satisfied my craving

Although they do have an amazing chicken pot pie, I didn't love the fact that they don't have breakfast, and the rest of the menu was pretty much whatever. The place looks dirty. The service was amazing.
