I would have to give this 5 stars, not just for academia but for the school's ability to help each student find their inner ability to learn, serve, and lead. This has been a wonderful school for our daughter. It has met her needs in every aspect of what you would hope for in a high school. The staff is kind, respectful, and truly care about each individual student.
We are a public school family, but once it came time for high school, we decided to try La Salle. We have not regretted it for one moment. It is money well spent.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - John T.Los Angeles, CA63Aug 14, 2019
la salle once was a high school of a high achieving brotherhood. Under the reign of 20 years of Pat Bonocci this school has sunk to a new low with more than 1/3 of the student population with mild to severe learning disabilities. On the flip side the school offers almost 3 hours of free tutoring every day! I guess they feel they need it
once apon a time before girls and football this school was mentioned in the same breath as Loyola , Flintridge Prep and Poly and the students aspired to the Ivyes. Now the aspire to Cal State La. They cant even get a car line to execute correctly? its embarrasingHelpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Cole W.Arcadia, CA01May 26, 2018
This school has an problem with the teachers in giving a load of busy work to students that in fact hold many of the students back from their potentials. Most teachers are failure alumnis who crawl back after they fail to find a job in the workforce due to the horrible colleges the go on to. Teachers fail to teach in a coherent manner which forces many students to self study or just utterly fail. The new principle and head of faculty are ones who moved up due to a lack of competition for those spots and has enforced a new form of policy that aims to make the students to become little puppets that follow along with what they are told. Kids here form their little cliques and after school smoke massive amount of weed or drink alcohol showing up to school hangover. Overall don't come here even if they give you a scholarship. The teachers are better at a public school.
I am an recent alumni who see all of the wrongs with the school. Trust me marnatha, prep, saint Francis, Loyola, PHS, SMHS. Are all betterHelpful 8Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - James C.Mount Hope, KS18May 7, 2018
This is a great school, good community. The campus could be better. The teachers are good and the students are great. Ms. Parga is a great teacher and so are the others I guess... also the tuition is stupidly high

They are now called "La Salle College Preparatory". That could not have been more wrong.

As a parent, I am very disappointed in the results of this school. Especially the athletic department. The girls basketball team has an incompetent head coach who is very inappropriate toward the players. He demeans them, yells, and is very discouraging to their confidence as players. The coach has been there about 3 years and has had different coaches to assist him every year. The athletic director still has him there instead of doing the right thing of letting him go. If you have a daughter that plays basketball, do not bring them to La Salle!! They will take the love away from her and will not help her develop and grow.
Outside of Athletics, our experience was ok. This school is not worth the high admission, however.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - B M.San Gabriel, CA019Sep 24, 2013
My daughter attended La Salle and the continued her education with a Bachelors from Wellesley College and a Masters from George Washington University. Her success in college is due the the very well rounded educational foundation she received at La Salle. She was able to pursue her love of both science and the arts while participating in student leadership and drama. She continued her foundation in La Salle's core principles by continuing as a Lasallian Collegian during her college years.
She was most influenced by her teachers in English, US History and Honors Chemistry where she developed strong writing and critical thinking skills.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brandon B.Sierra Madre, CA16Sep 14, 2013
I graduated from La Salle several years ago, and I found myself thoroughly prepared for college.
