Went to see the group Hiroshima on Saturday, May 14th. The Arcadia Performing Arts Center is a very nice, new, and intimate theater. Learned from the ushers that Arcadia High School uses the same venue for their high school performances and assemblies. The theater only seats about 1100 guests. We got our tickets late and the only available seats were in the rear of the theater in the Mezannine section, but even these seats were pretty good seats. No complaints. Although I'm not too sure about the Mezannine seats facing sideways that are closer to the stage. If you get these seats, you will end up facing sideways towards the stage during the whole show.
Why not 5 stars? There are no bathrooms in the second floor level for the Mezannine. You have to go all the way down to the first floor. By the time you reach the bathrooms, there's bound to be already long lines, even for the men's restroom. Also, at the performance that we attended, our seats were pretty close to the exit, and two ushers were loudly talking to each other by our seats at the beginning of the show. They only stopped and moved away when a few of my seatmates and I gave them the dreaded stare.
Plenty of parking right next to the venue with the choice of reserved/VIP ($10), general ($5) or FREE. General parking so close so save a few bucks, but if you have a lot of time and don't mind a little walk, there's free street parking available.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 7Oh no 0 - Jimmy-Ann T.Norwalk, CA342551370Jan 19, 2019
It was our first time here to celebrate the Lunar New Year at this beautiful place. There were many people came to enjoy the Events. Besides the politicians at this place, there also were many programs and activities here. There were a martial art, Chinese dances, music, and foods for the festival. Kids also learned the culture, calligraphic, drawing that the people had enjoyed with family. Everyone seemed to have a great time with family and friends. Hopefully, we will be back again next year.

I didn't realize that the school had such a nice arts center! It was part theatre and part stadium with seats lined along the sides facing perpendicular to the stage. There was a lot of parking, but I wasn't sure where to turn in and ended up having to go all the way around the block. There was an overflow lot to the right of the entrance, which is where I ended up parking. The seats were extremely nice, clean, and comfortable. I went to see a drumming show and the stage was pretty spacious to fit everything up there. It had nice lighting and the acoustics were pretty good as well. I will definitely come back here again! Who knew it was just blocks away from the mall and race track?!

My honey and I went to see Steve Tyrell last night. First off, it's a beautiful building inside and out with very good acoustics.
Steve Tyrell is just a joy to watch and listen to, here is a performer that truly enjoys what he does every night.
The demographics have changed in Arcadia, I know that but was it necessary for the announcer to give emergency directions in Mandarin?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Tom G.Westlake Village, CA2576284969Aug 3, 2016First to Review
We attended a performance by the jazz fusion band, Hiroshima at the Arcadia Performing Arts center. The staff were exceptionally gracious with reasonably good acoustics from the balcony wings where we were. Food trucks outside were well attended and the parking staff super friendly. I can't find anything to complain of so I am compelled to offer a rare 5 stars!

Great to have a nice facility like this in the area. Saw the "Back to Chicago" concert with CTA last Saturday March 30th and it was a very good show. My only criticism is that the concert was originally supposed to start at 7:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. Later they told us that there would be special presentations at 7:00 with the actual music starting at 7:30. Well, thanks to a handful of local politicians, including Judy Chu, the multiple presentations didn't start until almost 7:30 and lasted about 30 minutes. Bottom line, we sat there for almost 90 minutes before the first note was played.

I've seen many shows at this facility and have never been disappointed (Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, Paul Anka, The Fathers Day Magic Show, Steve Tyrell, and several of the High School productions). It is a magnificent facility, and I heard a rumor that a lot of the stage crew wear kilts, which is fairly awesome. Can't wait to go back for another show!

The theatre is absolutely beautiful inside and out. The seating is great. The sound is fantastic. I can only give it three stars for a few reasons. 1} Where were the ushers? People had no idea where to go after getting into the actual theatre. I saw maybe three usher who seemed overwhelmed. They need more ushers helping guests find their seats. 2} They let young children in and of course they get bored and act up. The APRC needs to put into policy if parents let their kids loose on the theatre then they will be ask to leave. End of story. Of course it's not the fault of the kids because they are just being kids. It's the lazy parents who believe it's our job to put up with their entitled self involved bad parenting. Yes, I know the Mommy and Daddy Mafia will come for me and will be outraged/incensed with their "How dare I" crappy attitude but it's the truth. If parents want their kids to run around screaming during entire shows then fine. They can do that in the lobby or outside. They have multiple flat screen tv's there so the kids can do their thing and the parents can watch the tv's in the lobby so they don't miss the show. Other than that this theatre is amazing!
